Millennials: The Me Me Me Generation

J. Stein calls this generation lazy, selfish, entitled, shallow, narcissistic, less educated and self-obsessed, highlighting how this attitude has been around since the time of the Reformation when Luther told Christians that they didn’t need the Church to talk to God, and in the 18th century at end of the Romantic period, when artists stopped using their work to celebrate God and instead used it to express themselves. I found his tone and the way he expresses his thoughts to be very candid. This publisher or author had wonderful view points and carries those view points out with ease.

The writer connected with the readers on a personal level. It felt like a normal conversation. She shows a understanding and gives a comparison with the readers by stating who she is and who she is not. She empathizes with those who are not seated near her and how she feels about it.This writing is the best but it tells her experience and how she felt about it. 

Summary of "On Pandering"

Claire V. Watkins, expressed herself though letting others know the hardship of being a female writer. She stated that she didn't read a lot of female authors growing up and usually when you think of s successful writer you think of men.By using constant repetition it allowed the reader to understand her main point of view..... That the system is corrupted. She speaks for all in this essay to where she's able to connect with her readers on a personal level

Brief Interview

In the interviews, Wallace makes general but indirect statements about some of society’s most cherished institutions and conventions. In the aforementioned case, the interviewee reveals that he married his wife because she had a good body and because she “had a kid but wasn’t all blown out and veiny and sagged.” Wallace then gets to the crux of how the man views marriage: “I’d always had a dread of marrying some good-looking woman and then we have a kid and it blows her body out but I still have to have sex with her because this is who I’ve signed on to have sex with the whole rest of my life.” The woman the interviewee marries has, in his words, been “pre-tested.” This showed extraordinary vocabulary.
